I see need,
want,
hunger,
pain and suffering.

“Send the crowd away…
we have nothing here
to give them.”
Send them to the state…
let them go somewhere else.
But where? I ask

Dare I say then?
Expect a miracle…
for heaven always begins with a question:
𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠?

You and I
may have something small.
Here is a boy amongst us…
he has five loaves and two fish.
Insignificant.

They came to Him
As we do today
and now
empty of answers,
standing before thousands
who are starving.
𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠?

Again, “Five loaves… two fish.”
Unruffled, He told them.
Have them sit.
We are not sending them away.
He lifted what little they carried.
He blessed it, broke it,
and the broken pieces
multiplied until thousands were fed
… from what looked insignificant.

So, He asks us still in the face
of need,
want,
hunger,
pain and suffering we see:
𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠?

Not the vacuum of nothingness,
but the seed you’ve forgotten,
the gift you’ve buried,
the small thing heaven can breathe upon
and multiply
to feed the masses.

But don’t come empty‑handed
for the miracle you seek.
Bring something… anything.
A talent.
A gift you have.

It might be small,
and it will be.
But it will be
multiplied.

For out of one
small offering,
God makes abundance,
and out of the smallest thing
you carry,
many will be fed.
