You wake up… and a heavy day
hits your heart before you even
get on your feet.

You don’t feel like going anywhere.
Not today.
Not now…you ponder.

But here is the truth.
We have all been there… we know
what that feels like.
The weight and the ache.

We dig deep down… and pull
every ounce of strength we have… just to get up
and face the day.
The world outside waits.

The problems are real.

We force a smile… and bury
the weight of yesterday.

And then… as you reach out to others,
you take the time… even when
you don’t feel like it… to breathe.

More than that, to smell the roses… yes!

And to walk in the sun
and let its warmth
feed your hungry spirit.

We have all been there before.
We know what it is like.

But we make the decision… to say no
to what might pull us down.

We say no
to the problems that bother us.

And we say YES.

We shall triumph… and we shall prevail.

For today is our day.

Now… is our time.

And then
we realize the tide is changing.
Victory is in sight.
This, too, shall pass.

And we shall live
to see another day.

This time… better!

Even much better!
